Meunier’s conceptual videos revolve around subject positions in communicative as well as artistic-creative processes. In Auto Description Model, for example, she reflects in an academic-style lecture on the unavailability of a concrete partner, and explains her intersubjective self-understanding by way of a diagram that serves as a model for the act of writing. In so doing, the performative gesture is not conceived for a live situation, but clearly scripted; the main figure thus stages her own double. (n.b.k. Videoforum)
